Kimisitu DT Sacco is a premier, ISO 9001:2015 certified, Tier-1 Deposit Taking SACCO operating at a national level in Kenya. 1. Finance Manager (1 Position)

Job Purpose:
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the sound financial management of the Sacco. This involves aligning financial strategies with the overall business plan, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and providing leadership to the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective financial policies and systems.
  • Lead the preparation and analysis of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Advise the CEO on financial implications of strategic decisions.
  • Ensure prudent management of the Sacco’s financial resources.
  • Oversee the formulation and execution of strategic financial plans.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and timely reconciliations.
  • Coordinate both internal and external audit processes.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance department staff.
  • Implement cost-control strategies aligned with business growth.
  • Evaluate return on investment for Sacco projects.
  • Adopt technological innovations for financial efficiency.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • CPA (K)/ACCA qualification and ICPAK registration.
  • At least 8 years of relevant financial management experience.
  • Proficiency in ERP, IFRS, Microsoft Navision, and advanced Excel.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, reporting, and risk management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

2. Principal Officer – Kimisitu Insurance Agency (1 Position)

Job Purpose:
The Principal Officer will lead the Kimisitu Insurance Agency (a subsidiary of Kimisitu DT Sacco regulated by the Insurance Regulatory Authority – IRA). The role is focused on strategic direction, daily operations, policy development, business growth, customer experience, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for business growth and operational excellence.
  • Design an efficient organizational structure for the agency.
  • Implement budgetary controls and ensure sound financial performance.
  • Establish and monitor claim handling procedures to ensure timely settlement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and submit operational reports.
  • Manage customer relationships and ensure high service standards.
  • Oversee the sales process and ensure monthly growth and retention targets.
  • Promote Kimisitu Insurance products and expand client portfolio.
  • Ensure accurate proposal and policy administration.
  • Monitor premium collections and renewals.
  • Ensure all operations comply with IRA regulations and legal frameworks.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

  • Degree in Insurance, Marketing, Economics, or a business-related field.
  • Certification in ACII, IIK, or Certificate of Proficiency (C.O.P) in Insurance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant managerial experience in an insurance setup.
  • Familiarity with IRA regulations and industry standards.
  • Strong leadership, marketing, and strategic planning skills.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

3. Relationship Officers – Nairobi (6 Positions)

Job Purpose:
The Relationship Officers will act as the primary link between the Sacco and its current and prospective members. This role focuses on building strong member relationships, increasing product uptake, recruiting new members, and ensuring an excellent member experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and sustain lasting relationships with Sacco members.
  • Drive member recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Promote Sacco’s financial products and services to new and existing members.
  • Achieve assigned regional sales targets and ensure growth in product uptake.
  • Conduct outreach programs and member education sessions.
  • Supervise and support regional sales agents in their duties.
  • Offer financial advisory to members and align their needs with Sacco offerings.
  • Prepare detailed reports on sales performance and member feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, and other regulatory requirements.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

  • Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or Co-operative Management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in customer relationship management or sales.
  • Knowledge of SACCO operations and regulations is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and relationships effectively.
  • Results-oriented with high levels of integrity.
